Welcome All to Barack-A-Lot

This is my end-of-year Holiday greeting to all members and readers of Preserve the American Dream (PAID).  Our struggle to keep the American Dream alive has suffered greatly in 2008.   The results of the end-of-year general elections have given us a new variety of politicians who are too liberal to even know that the American Dream will suffer under their noses.  America got what it deserves for letting its guard down and putting its belief in the mainstream media.  What this unfortunate turn of events has given us can best be described as a fairyland called Barack-a-lot, similar to Camelot but without the wide screen and soundtrack.  Instead of King Arthur’s marriage to Queen Guinevere, we have King Barack’s divorce from all the things that make America great.

We now have a President-elect and a pending administration that are very dangerous and threaten the very ideals we love and cherish.  The American Dream will face its greatest challenges as we go forward in 2009. No doubt, there will be damage inflicted to all Americans that will take quite some time to heal. Everything is apt to change.  In Barack-a-lot there will be voices that will always recite the politically correct thing even as damage is being done to the very people those voices portend to assist and protect.  In Barack-a-lot there will be great envy and greed possessed by those who espouse to eradicate envy and greed.  In Barack-a-lot, as long as the media tells stories that seem to be positive in nature, the damage to the American Dream will go on unchecked and unencumbered by logical policy.  In Barack-a-lot everyone is sickeningly equal, even those of us who choose to work harder, think more wisely than the masses and dare to be exceptional.  The entrepreneurial spirit that made America the great and wonderful nation it is, will be looked down upon and in some cases, banned by government decree.  There is no room for tolerance for those who want more for themselves and their families in a Barack-a-lot system of government.  The citizens of Barack-a lot will experience more government intrusion in their lives than ever before.  It’s true!  It’s true!  The Crown has made it clear; the climate must be perfect all the year.

Is there any hope for those of us who demand conservative fiscal policy?  Here’s the good news:  Yes.  Fifty six million people can’t be wrong.  The Barack-a-lot mentality of high taxes cannot and will not go unchallenged.  The election of 2008 is not a mandate for liberal change.  Obama should be given the applause he dutifully deserves to have mastered the extraordinary nuances of this past election and to exploit the temporary political weakness of fiscally conservative Americans.  But, that’s where it ends.  He and his henchmen will soon find the truth that his administration represents no miracle and that the seas will not part for his wisdom.  His crowd is already beginning to see some flutes of light through the darkness of media favoritism.  Barack is starting to understand that powerful Russia is in fact the enemy most of us knew all along.  Barack is beginning to fray at the edges as Americans are exposed to understand the cesspool of Chicago politics he comes from as the astonishing Blagojevich story continues to unwind.  Suddenly it appears Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko and Bill Ayres are being revisited in the minds of many, even those who were convinced they represented no problem at all.   The political and philosophical system liberals blindly but confidently pursue is simply wrong for America.  This reality will dawn as the Obama gang attempts to change things for the worse.  The greatest cure for rampant liberalism has always been a temporary victory for liberals.  When Americans are reminded about liberal elitism and their tired tax-and-spend response to any problem, a conservative thinker always looks better.  Remember the sad fate of Jimmy Carter and the even sadder fate of the impeached President Clinton, who will now be influencing the new Secretary of State and who sadly some still hold as a super hero of the liberal elite.

It has always remained a mystery to me about why most powerful political liberals never seem to understand that taxpayers have the last word on the modification of any tax law.  I recently had a kitchen faucet replaced by a workman in a vacation home I own.  When it came time to write a check the plumber asked if I would make the check out to cash and he’d be pleased to eliminate the taxes and not report the transaction.  This was a few days after Obama was elected and the newspapers were filled with stories of how he would immediately begin to raise taxes after he took the oval office.  “I don’t want to give another penny to those jerks,” was his well-made point.  There it was.  Before Obama got to spin in his oval office chair, Americans were showing their prowess against his assumed attack.  Although I won’t detail how I handled the transaction, I can report that I did the right thing.  On a more serious side, I know dozens of people, wealthy people who have reported to me their response to Barack-a-lot.  They plan to move as much money out of the country as they legally can.  One acquaintance is actually planning to leave the country and build a new life on another continent.  Honestly, I don’t blame them a bit.  Why pay higher taxes when you’re already paying usury fees compared to the masses?  Personally, I plan on spending a good part of January on another continent seeking opportunities.  But, I won’t give up America.  I will fix it, but I won’t leave it.

As we go through a new year, keep in mind that Barack Obama is not the Messiah, but only to those who want him to be one.  These sad people actually believe their own publicity and their own created image.  Barack Obama is a man who has no experience doing any sort of the things he will now be called upon to perform daily.  He will fail as the American people who really care about the strength and growth of their country insist on protecting the American Dream for themselves and their children.   Just remember to not pay any serious attention to the mainstream media and you’ll be ok.

Have a Happy Holiday Season!
