The American Media has had a field day with the $54 M pants suit (no pun intended).  So this week the outcome seems to be what we were all hoping for.  The Chung’s (owners of the cleaners accused of losing Judge Pearson’s pants) don’t have to pay millions to the confused judge who thought he was master of his Universe.  All the hoopla and headlines and we can’t seem to get too excited because we are still left with the obvious truth.

We PreserveTheAmericanDream.com thinkers who work hard and play by the rules have often heard about outrageous tax rates of the past that make working hard hardly worth the trouble.  Over the past 50 years or so American income tax rates have been as high as 80%.  The most unfair tax of all, the death tax, shows rates still hovering around 55% on already taxed money left to wives and children.  But is it possible that our American government could stoop as low to require under certain circumstances rates that take 100%?  Don’t look now but that’s what our good friend Charlie Rangel, Chairman of Ways and Means has proposed last week in a draft of his tax plan.  Now we all know that Charlie is a poster boy for the destroyers of the American Dream (DEAD).  But, he is a dangerous destroyer of the dream.

America has a new hero and her name is Soo Chung.  Remember that name because she and her family have suffered for you in unimaginable ways.  She like so many of us has found out the hard way that the American Dream is dissipating before her eyes.  You’ve probably heard her story over the past few weeks, but you may not have paid much attention to her because most of the tale is centered on the other side of the equation: her abuser.  Yes, she is the owner of infamous Custom Cleaners and is being sued for $54 million dollars (down from $67.3 million in a dubiously generous downward adjustment) for losing a pair of maroon colored pants.  The pants belong to a judge.

We’ve all heard the rumors.  We, most of us have engaged in the spirited conversations but mostly we’ve seen with our own eyes and heard with our own ears what appears to be the undeniable truth about the liberal slant of the media.  At PreserveTheAmericanDream.com all of this takes on an important hue because the manipulation of the media and media bias are powerful tools used by the destroyers of the dream (DEAD) in their insistence to do just that.
