Charles Rangel Officially Notifies Americans to Cease Prosperous Ways

It’s now official! Charles Rangel, tax & means committee Chairman, speaking for all the Democrat party candidates running for nomination for President of the United States has announced that Americans will no longer be able to prosper if a Democrat becomes President.  The liberal attack on the American Dream just got uglier and more detrimental.

Mr. Rangel who is on record as saying he wants to pass “the mother of all tax reforms” has announced his intention, if a Democrat gets to the oval office (think Hillary) to incorporate the largest single tax increase in American history, over $1 trillion.  This proposed tax increase is being introduced to dupe Americans into believing that this is the only way to get rid of the Alternative Minimum tax (AMT) that Democrats created in the first place to punish a few American families who legally paid no taxes by taking approved expenses as write-offs.

Sickening Frivolous Lawsuits

PreserveTheAmericanDream.com is once again performing its sworn duty by informing you of some news items you may have missed over the passed few weeks.  American courtrooms are still being used as wealth-redistribution centers as Destroyers of the American Dream (DEAD) lawyers continue to get rich on frivolous lawsuits that have little or no merit.  Two recent cases in point have demonstrated that the damage is still going on in ways that are unimaginable.  I actually thought that we had reached a new limit with the recent case of the missing dry-cleaned pants (See June 16, 2007-Redefinition of the word lawSUIT and June 26, 2007-The Pant Mania Lawsuit is Over....or is it?) for which an unscrupulous Judge, the missing pants owner was asking $14.5 million.  Unfortunately we now have cries coming from, of all people, a new pouting bride.

Americans For Prosperity....What an Idea!

I just spent two of the greatest days of my adult life in Washington D.C. as a sponsor of the Defending the American Dream Conference where I was able to look into the eyes of the Republican Candidates for President.  The Conference was the first annual meeting of members of Americans For Prosperity (AFP).  If you believe in the things you read here, you must for your very survival know about this great organization and the work it does.

When some knucklehead Senator in Alaska thought it was a great idea to build the now famous bridge to nowhere, that’s the $244 million bridge to a small island in which 48 people live, it was AFP who stopped him cold.  It would have cost less to buy each of those citizens their own Lear jets.  When the Governor of the Soviet Republic of New Jersey decided that it was a smart idea to write a bill to guarantee a two-week annual paid leave of absence to any employee who wanted to take advantage of it, it was AFP who yelled foul and yelled loud.  The bill never became law.  The good news is that AFP now has over 200,000 citizen activist members like you in their 20 state Chapters who give a hoot and who are preserving the American Dream in the process of doing their good work.
